Putting Data First for Life Sciences with Bio-Rad

Bio-Rad Laboratories, a global life sciences and diagnostics manufacturer, faced a complex data challenge: decades of growth left hundreds of legacy systems across multiple countries, languages and regulations with disparate, inconsistent data that needed harmonizing and cleansing before consolidation into a single SAP ECC instance as part of the Mariposa Project. To address this, Bio-Rad partnered with Syniti and adopted Syniti’s Data First methodology and SKP platform to manage the global SAP data migration.

Syniti implemented its SKP suite and Data First approach to establish referential integrity, run multiple mock loads, and convert and map hundreds of data objects per wave (materials, products, customers, vendors, recipes, routings, pricing, etc.). The result was predictable, repeatable go‑lives — releases that were consistently on‑time and on‑budget — thousands of incorrect materials avoided, and data taken off the project’s critical path, enabling Bio-Rad to complete its multi‑wave consolidation successfully with Syniti as a trusted partner.
