PERI GmbH accelerates data warehouse and customer portal

PERI, a global leader in formwork and scaffolding, needed faster, more reliable access to data held across 45 country-specific Informix ERP databases to support departmental reporting and its myPERI customer portal. Facing hours-long Linux-scripted updates and an explosion of reports, PERI engaged Syniti to deliver a real-time data replication and integration solution to accelerate its data warehouse and feed downstream analytics.

Syniti implemented a change-data-capture (CDC) replication solution and automated configuration APIs to consolidate more than 4,000 replications, feed SAP HANA analytics, and replace slow batch processes with near-real-time updates (configured at 10-minute intervals). The result was a dramatic improvement in timeliness and performance: DWH queries now run in 3–30 seconds, the reporting set was focused from roughly 1,300 reports to 120 critical reports, and management now has consistent, up-to-date company-wide reporting thanks to Syniti’s replication and integration work.
