Case Study: McDougall Energy achieves real-time, scalable data replication and rapid implementation with Syniti (DBMoto)

McDougall Energy Inc., a Canadian fuel marketer serving home, auto and commercial customers, needed a faster, more reliable way to replicate ERP data to its customer web portal. Facing limitations and support issues with MSSQL Replication and operating with a small IT team, McDougall Energy engaged Syniti to provide a real-time ETL/replication solution (DBMoto) that could handle filtering, mapping and rapid deployment.

Syniti implemented DBMoto and its Management Center to configure source/target databases, map and transform fields, and allow custom VB/C# scripting—delivering the majority of the solution within an hour and requiring minimal ongoing administration. The Syniti solution enabled real-time reporting for a 30,000+ user portal, scaled replicated tables from about 10 to over 300, and now processes roughly 350,000 records daily while reducing McDougall Energy’s resource and maintenance overhead.
