Gulliver's Travel Associates, a leading travel wholesaler serving 30,000 suppliers in 35 languages across 120 countries, needed to improve website search reliability and performance by migrating and replicating high volumes of pricing requests from IBM i (iSeries) to MySQL. Facing roughly 30 million online requests, 1,500 replication protocols and peak throughputs of 15 million replicated transactions per day (scanning ~50 GB of log journals and synchronizing 5–10 GB of changes daily), they engaged Syniti for a scalable data replication solution.

Syniti implemented a real-time and refresh data replication solution to move and transform data reliably from the iSeries environment into multiple MySQL databases, automating previously manual transformation tasks. The Syniti deployment delivered more timely, consistent search data at peak loads, freed operations staff from manual processes, and improved search performance and scalability while handling the existing 15M transaction peaks and daily log and data-change volumes.
