Global Grocery Chain experiences rapid data quality improvement and streamlined data migration

Global Grocery Chain, a large international retailer with more than 10,000 stores across 20 countries, was in the middle of a digital transformation to SAP S/4HANA when poor data quality stalled its migration efforts. With limited budget and historic underinvestment in data quality, the company needed a way to identify issues and build support for improvement initiatives. Syniti helped assess the data landscape using its Data Jumpstart offering.

Syniti deployed Syniti Data Jumpstart, powered by the Syniti Knowledge Platform, to analyze data quality errors across seven target systems, including SAP S/4HANA and Ariba. Based on the findings, Syniti implemented 70 standardized governance rules and 16 customized vendor-data rules worldwide, helping the customer improve data quality and restart its migration program. The company can now continue its SAP S/4HANA rollout and expects to complete up to 400 project waves over the next three years.
