Xoserve, the UK custodian of gas usage data that handles millions of switches and meter reads, needed to meet a Competition and Markets Authority mandate to speed up and error-proof the consumer energy switching process. Facing a six‑month regulatory deadline, Xoserve engaged Syniti as the agile services partner to implement SAP‑based integration and API solutions (including SAP API Management, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP HANA and SAP Smart Data Integration) so consumers and Price Comparison Websites (PCWs) could securely access accurate, real‑time metered data.

Syniti deployed SAP API Management, SAP Fiori apps, SDI and HANA with secure logging and auditing to provide real‑time data replication between on‑premise and cloud systems. The solution cut switching time and data errors, delivered real‑time metered data to PCWs, greatly reduced administrative overhead (freeing funds and staff for other priorities), ensured full CMA compliance, and created a scalable platform that positions Xoserve to expand services and potentially monetize customer data.
