Advanced Data Migration Improves Data Quality for Australand

Australand, a major Australian property developer with operations across several cities and a complex set of trading entities, faced a 14‑month project to move its fragmented IT landscape onto SAP ERP. The migration was complicated by more than 20 legacy data sources (including Timberline, CRM and Cognos), roughly 600 Timberline project records (about half active), and a unique requirement to integrate SAP RE‑FX with SAP CRM. To address this, Australand engaged Syniti and its data migration platform for the advanced data conversion effort.

Syniti assigned senior consultants who extracted, validated, cleansed and reformatted legacy data, applied repeatable business and transformation rules in Syniti’s migration platform, and used graphical data views to catch formatting issues early. That approach enabled five rounds of dry‑run conversions, consolidation of data from 20+ sources and the cleanup of the Timberline project set, delivering improved data quality, a timely migration and a smooth SAP go‑live—outcomes Australand credits to Syniti’s platform and expertise.
