Maui Jim, a global eyewear company selling in more than 100 countries, was building an online ordering platform for its tens of thousands of retail partners but faced major data-matching challenges: the platform generated new customer IDs that didn’t map to existing Maui Jim account numbers, and retailer names and addresses appeared in many inconsistent formats.
