IKEA Builds a Seamless Data Foundation for a Smarter Future

IKEA, the global retailer, was undertaking a strategic SAP S/4HANA transformation and needed to harmonize data across more than a dozen legacy sources while keeping daily operations running. Working with Syniti, IKEA sought a way to synchronize critical business partner, product, vendor, and financial data into a trusted environment with less manual effort and more control.

Syniti implemented Syniti Knowledge Platform (SKP) to support both one-time migration and continuous daily integration, with built-in validation, enrichment, orchestration, and a custom two-tier setup for development and production. The results were strong: IKEA reported 90–95% data migration accuracy in early test cycles, 93–94% success in the first test cycle, and the ability to make new product or supplier records live in SAP S/4HANA within 24 hours, laying a foundation for future procurement, logistics, AI, and automation initiatives.
