Long Range Systems (LRS), a Richardson, TX-based provider of cloud-enabled messaging, monitoring, and indoor positioning solutions, needed a better way to manage waitlist and paging requests across hospitality and healthcare environments. Its traditional VEN-U cloud-based paging workflow depended on Internet access and proprietary connectivity, which made it difficult to deliver messages reliably when network coverage was limited.

Synerzip implemented an AWS IoT-based brokering solution using MQTT and secure SSL certificate-based communication to connect LRS’s transmitters, pagers, and messaging platform across any network. The result was a future-ready, cloud-modernized paging system that can queue requests when devices are offline, improve security, reduce dependence on proprietary standards, and help LRS scale quickly to new customers and offerings.
