Alstom Transportation Boosts its Productivity

Alstom Transportation, part of the Alstom Group, needed to centralize and standardize its procurement processes across more than 60 countries. With purchasing previously managed locally and no common workflow for tendering, bid validation, or supplier oversight, the company turned to SynerTrade’s eSourcing suite to improve control, compliance, and buyer productivity.

SynerTrade implemented a broad procurement solution including eRFx, contract management, eAuctions, and supplier performance management. The platform created a single, company-wide workflow and database, improved visibility into supplier performance, and supported QCDT tracking across the Group. Alstom reported major time savings for buyers—four hours per week for 400 buyers, equivalent to 40 additional buyers—along with better compliance, transparency, and strategic supplier management.
