Sunrise Farms is a Canadian food processor operating multiple poultry, egg and beef businesses across six locations and 12 corporate farms, producing millions of birds and a steady supply of raw and cooked products for North America. Rapid growth, including a new processing plant and hatchery, exposed a patchwork of time-collection methods—automated systems, clocks and manual sign-in sheets—so HR and payroll data were decentralized, error-prone and required heavy manual intervention to prepare payroll for their CanPay system.

Sunrise implemented Synerion’s TimeZone Client Server to centralize time and attendance and HR data, using swipe terminals at each site with supervisor edits and centralized approvals, then automatic transmission to CanPay. The system standardized pay rules, improved accuracy and visibility into labor and absenteeism, secured HR records, reduced payroll processing costs and manual work, and delivered a strong ROI while supporting the company’s continued growth.
