Delphi Corporation’s Facilities Services Group Uses Adept to Reclaim Ownership of its Design Information

Delphi’s Facilities Services Group, which manages engineering drawings and project documents for the global component manufacturer, struggled with fragmented storage—AutoCAD files in Autodesk WorkCenter (encrypted and inaccessible after WorkCenter was orphaned), raster scans, and paper drawings in cabinets—making it hard to find the latest external references and share project data. To regain control of its design information, Delphi selected Synergis Software’s Adept Document Management.

Synergis Software migrated Delphi’s encrypted WorkCenter data and DOS raster files into a single Adept repository, scanned physical mylars to TIF and consolidated all CAD and raster drawings, and deployed 20 Adept licenses. The result: restored access to previously locked documentation, elimination of file cabinets/mylar storage, a centralized searchable database of all drawings, smoother CAD reference management, and measurable gains in collaboration and productivity as Delphi moves toward a paperless, better-controlled engineering workflow.
