NiSource’s Columbia Pipeline Group (CPG), which operates roughly 15,000 miles of interstate natural gas pipeline and is executing an aggressive modernization program (including replacing about 1,000 miles of pipeline), struggled with slow, manual drawing retrieval, no version control, duplicated design work, and strict regulatory documentation requirements.
