Synergex helped UNFI, a leading wholesale distributor of natural and organic foods, overcome a significant challenge with its supplier portal. The portal experienced scaling issues when multiple users simultaneously submitted batches of new products, which hindered multi-user access to data from their various disparate systems.

The solution implemented by Synergex utilized their Harmony Core framework to create a RESTful web service with an OData interface. This provided secure, multi-threaded access without custom code, allowing for real-time data queries and much faster field modifications. The results for UNFI were greatly improved performance, with one dataset's return time dropping from 2 seconds to 300 milliseconds, and it empowered developers to instantly meet customer and end-user requests for data changes.
