Forward Solutions completes a web UI POC in 3 months with Synergex

Forward Solutions, a UK-based supplier of software for the freight and logistics industry, faced the challenge of modernizing the outdated user interface of its long-established ERP system, Forward Office. They partnered with vendor Synergex to revitalize the UI to improve customer experience while aiming to retain all existing functionality, minimize code changes, and ensure a good return on investment.

Synergex implemented a solution using its Harmony Core product with Traditional Bridge to expose the application's existing business logic as a web service. This allowed Forward Solutions to build a new, modern web front end using Angular without rewriting their core application. The successful proof of concept led to a phased rollout, enabling the company to update its UI efficiently, retain all application functionality, and establish a foundation of industry-standard technologies for the future.
