3M, the global innovation company, faced a steep in-store sales barrier for its Futuro™ braces: shoppers were confused by the many options and often left the store without buying. To solve this, 3M partnered with Syndigo to test a mobile-first guided selling approach using Syndigo’s Product Selectors.
Syndigo deployed an in-store mobile Product Selectors experience in more than 1,000 U.S. stores, using signage with text codes that link shoppers to a guided questionnaire matched to each store’s SKU assortment and deliver tailored recommendations. In a three-month test sales showed a consistent uptick and shopper engagement rates doubled month-over-month, helping convert more shoppers at shelf and informing 3M’s broader rollout plans.
