Coop Norge and Advellence Streamline Data Processes and Improve Data Quality with Syndigo MDM as Foundational Platform

Coop Norge, one of Norway’s largest retail cooperatives, needed a more flexible and scalable way to manage product data across its many grocery and non-grocery chains. Facing inconsistent data quality from external sources, outdated legacy systems, and upcoming ESG and Digital Product Passport requirements, the company turned to Syndigo MDM to modernize its master data foundation.

With help from Advellence, Coop implemented Syndigo’s full MDM platform as its backbone, replacing SAP Master Data Governance and enabling both buy and sell views, inbound/outbound interfaces, and integration across multiple master data sources. The rollout supported more than 163,000 articles, cut data enrichment work from a full day to about one hour, and gave Coop a scalable architecture to improve data quality, efficiency, and future growth.
