Continuous Improvement immersion + the right tools proves profitable for Dynisco

Dynisco, a Roper Industries company, wanted to improve performance across its Franklin, Massachusetts plant and several related facilities while gaining better control over profit, cash flow, inventory, and production transparency. The materials testing and extrusion-control instrumentation manufacturer turned to Synchrono Manufacturing Software and its SyncKanban eKanban platform to address growing complexity, high inventory carrying costs, and the need to drive cost out of new designs.

Working with Macresco Edge, Dynisco implemented a company-wide continuous improvement program and used Synchrono’s SyncKanban software to scale kanban across nearly 800 SKUs, reduce manual processes from 66 steps to 6, and integrate real-time inventory and supplier data with its ERP system. The results included a 51% inventory reduction at one site, inventory turns improving from 9.6 to 17.8, lead times dropping from 12 weeks to 2 at another site, and more than $985K in inventory cost savings over 12 months.
