Huffmaster, a strike staffing agency with a highly variable workforce of roughly 250 to over 1,000 W‑2 employees, was managing payroll and benefits through a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) that created heavy manual work and required temporary data‑entry hires. Seeking a single human capital management solution to handle payroll, benefits, time & attendance, ACA compliance and ERP integration, Huffmaster selected the SyncHR platform and went live in May 2017 to bring HR functions in‑house.

SyncHR implemented an integrated HCM with payroll, benefits enrollment, employee self‑service and time & attendance (four of five features integrated), plus the ability to backdate pay and issue supplemental checks. The deployment eliminated bulky paper packets, cut subscription costs to roughly half the former PEO fee, saved more than 2,000 labor hours a year from time & attendance plus about 200 hours from self‑service, maintained ACA compliance, achieved a 67% ROI and a two‑year payback — all without increasing HR headcount.
