Manipulating Excel Workbooks in a Windows Store App

PrepYourData, a software company focused on helping clients analyze and simplify data, needed Excel functionality in a Windows Store app. When building for the newest Windows devices, its Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel library was unavailable, which left a key part of the application inoperable.

To solve this, PrepYourData used Syncfusion’s Essential Studio for WinRT, including Essential XlsIO to open, read, update, and save Excel workbooks, plus Grid and NumericUpDown controls for the user interface. Syncfusion’s support team also helped resolve issues quickly, and the company reported that the solution saved at least six months of development time while delivering a workable, modern Windows app.
