The British International Freight Association (BIFA), a UK freight and logistics trade association, needed a better way to run its BTEC-accredited exams. Before working with Synap, assessments were managed manually in Word documents, emailed to students, and monitored over Zoom, creating delays, accessibility issues, and the risk of lost work.
Synap provided a secure online assessment platform that let BIFA run open-book exams digitally, schedule them consistently, automate saving and submissions, and keep proctoring via Zoom. The switch improved efficiency, reliability, and exam security, while making grading faster and easier for trainers through question-based marking. BIFA has used Synap since 2021 and is now exploring Synap’s in-house proctoring tool, Synoptic, to further enhance its exam delivery.
