Form3, a cloud-based Payments-as-a-Service platform, was facing significant challenges as its rapid growth stressed its infrastructure. Their legacy messaging systems on AWS were causing delays of up to 300 milliseconds, failing to meet customer SLAs, and lacked the multi-cloud capabilities needed for high availability and resiliency. To overcome this, they engaged vendor Synadia and implemented its NATS.io open-source messaging platform.
By adopting Synadia's NATS solution, which included the JetStream persistence layer, Form3 achieved a dramatically improved payments platform. The results included a massive reduction in latency from over 300ms to under 50ms, a six-fold improvement. This allowed them to exceed their SLAs, achieve greater operational resiliency with a multi-cloud architecture, and future-proof their operations for scaling. The vendor's technology provided a lightweight, secure, and cloud-agnostic foundation for Form3's continued growth.
