Kier Rail was delivering a new Network Rail Works Delivery contract to renew and upgrade railway DC Traction Power cables across the Wessex Route. With a workbank spanning 3 lots, more than 300 work locations per lot, and nearly 1,000 locations in total, the team needed a better way to manage engineering measurements, test data, and compliance reporting while reducing the risk of lost or incorrect information.

Using SymTerra, Kier Rail developed an electronic Inspection & Test Plan (e-ITP) to capture site data and align outputs with Network Rail’s assurance processes. SymTerra helped create a searchable project archive of tens of thousands of photos and hundreds of e-ITPs, simplifying reporting, reducing administrative burden, and streamlining workflow so the team could focus more on delivery.
