Foundation for California Community Colleges builds a 30-point student design lab with Symsoft

The Foundation for California Community Colleges (FCCC) faced a challenge in unifying the vast and disjointed technology landscape used by its students. Dozens of different teams owned various tools and campaigns, making it difficult to ensure a student-centered design approach. FCCC partnered with vendor SymSoft to establish a Student Centered Design Lab to address this.

SymSoft developed the business strategy, service portfolio, and research methodologies for the new lab. They provided hands-on mentorship to the lab's researchers. As a result, student product validation became a standard part of the development process. SymSoft's work helped the lab launch a student database, a research knowledge base, and a 30-point certification service for system-wide applications.
