How St. Luke’s Achieved 93% Vendor Compliance

St. Luke’s Health System, Idaho’s largest employer and a 1,183-bed health system with 11 facilities, needed a better way to manage vendor compliance across departments and locations. Disparate check-in processes, inconsistent data, and limited awareness among staff and vendors created risks to compliance, security, and patient safety. The health system turned to **Symplr** and its **symplr Access** solution to standardize vendor check-ins and improve oversight.

**Symplr** implemented a phased approach that combined policy, technology, and education, including leadership-approved standards, expanded onboarding, and department-specific training and roadshows. With symplr Access and stronger internal accountability, St. Luke’s increased vendor compliance from **55% to 93%**, boosted check-in documentation in one department from **10–15 vendors per month to about 200**, and gained the real-time visibility needed for auditing and Joint Commission requirements.
