Sportsdeal, a Norwegian e-commerce retailer of outdoor clothing and gear whose main USP is offering the best deals, faced a challenge with confusing price displays that undermined perceived value—product pages showed misleading savings and cluttered discount information. Symplify was engaged to apply conversion optimization through an A/B test focused on pricing visualization to clarify the discount messaging and increase purchase motivation.

Symplify’s variant moved the suggested retail price to the left, highlighted the reduced price in red, and explicitly showed the true "You save: 700 kr" to leverage left-to-right reading and simplify value perception. After about 30 days the Symplify test produced a 13% uplift in completed purchases for mobile users, statistically significant at 99%, demonstrating measurable conversion gains from visual changes alone.
