A Symphony Talent Case Study
Bright House Networks, a major U.S. cable operator serving over 2.4 million customers, was falling short of its hiring goals: recruiters saw low volumes of qualified applicants, an outdated requisition-based recruiting approach, and no effective strategy or tools for mobile and social engagement. Their existing ATS handled post-application processes but didn’t attract or engage candidates, so the company needed a new, metrics-driven recruitment approach.
Bright House created a recruiting Center of Excellence, hired a new talent leader, and implemented SmashFly’s recruitment marketing platform integrated with their ATS. They automated job distribution, launched mobile-optimized career sites and iPad sign-ups at events, built a Talent Community, and used analytics to optimize sourcing (e.g., restoring a job title doubled applications). The result was increased applicant flow and quality, filled training classes, faster hires (time-to-fill halved for some roles), better employer branding, and measurable cost and performance improvements.
