Karma Automotive, an ultra-luxury electric-vehicle manufacturer undergoing a product-line rebirth, needed an IT platform that could scale quickly, minimize downtime, and support new SAP technology. Facing growing complexity from increased vehicle options and shorter technology cycles, Karma evaluated in-house versus outsourced options and selected Symmetry to deliver SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA cloud hosting along with SAP application-management services and ControlPanelGRC.
Symmetry implemented an HPE-powered SAP HANA cloud (including HPE ConvergedSystem 900 and 3PAR SAN) plus SAP Basis and security management and ControlPanelGRC, delivering an enterprise-grade, scalable environment. As a result Symmetry enabled breaking a 1 TB virtualization limit up to 12 TB, real-time in-memory analytics, minute-level cloud scaling, 99.99% uptime, reduced catastrophic-failure risk, and a project completed ahead of schedule and under budget.
