Case Study: PrintOclock achieves 3x faster storefront performance and smoother development with Sylius

A Sylius Case Study

Preview of the PrintOclock Case Study

Successful migration of the French printing giant

PrintOclock, a Toulouse-based leader in online printing, faced a decade-old osCommerce platform that had become hard to maintain and blocked feature development. To regain agility and modernize their stack, PrintOclock chose Sylius as the new e‑commerce foundation and tasked a small team of four Symfony developers with migrating vast amounts of legacy data and rebuilding complex functionality like their price generator.

Using Sylius, PrintOclock rebuilt core systems (pricing engine, ticketing, order-issue management, invoicing/refunds, and a Print API) and integrated CMS Plugin, Emarsys, Metabase and hosted on OVH/AWS. The migration now handles 1,000–1,500 daily orders at roughly three times the previous speed, cut time to first meaningful paint from 4.9s to 1.8s, and reduced bounce rate by about 5%—demonstrating Sylius delivered both performance and developer control.
