Revamp eCommerce Site with New Look & Feel

Casa Palacio, a division of Palacio del Hierro and one of Mexico’s leading exclusive furniture retailers, needed to revamp its ecommerce site to unify a new look & feel, product content and the checkout flow while maintaining connections to multiple external services (including a SOAP feed for product info, stock, pricing, shipping and payment). To meet these requirements they engaged The Cocktail and selected Sylius, using Sylius’ Symfony-based standard solution as the technical foundation.

The Cocktail built on Sylius’ Symfony base, adding external libraries and custom bundles (including a CMS and a Payum-based payment gateway), integrating reporting and shipping feeds and implementing fraud detection and PDF exports. The result: a stable platform that now manages more than 5,000 SKUs, enables Casa Palacio to create modular CMS pages, centralizes shipping and reporting from external services, and improves payment and fraud workflows — all delivered on Sylius.
