POPSUGAR Must Have, POPSUGAR’s popular monthly subscription box, faced limits with a quickly built homegrown framework that couldn’t support a la carte sales or the next phase of product expansion. To migrate and extend their subscription business logic while adding full e‑commerce capabilities, POPSUGAR selected the Sylius e-commerce framework to provide an intuitive, extensible platform.
Using Sylius, a small team rebuilt the subscription logic and delivered multi-address purchasing, a referral program, reporting, admin tools, and logistics adapters in about three months. Sylius now handles billing, ordering, shipping, and account management for tens of thousands of subscribers, and over the following two years POPSUGAR has continued to grow the app—adding SMS commerce, subscription customization, and a new checkout—demonstrating faster development and measurable business growth.
