Doubling the number of sold lenses with mobile app and Sylius API

Elvi, an optician-focused eCommerce provider, needed a mobile app and web storefront that would let opticians run customer interviews, manage appointments and order contact lenses while storing lens parameters per optician. The project required a robust API layer, ERP fulfillment connectors, CRM integration and a microservice architecture on a PHP/Symfony stack — and Elvi had limited Sylius experience despite planning to use the Sylius platform and Sylius API.

Sylius specialists joined the project as consultants and developers, running PoCs, setting up data models, migrating business data, and providing best-practice recommendations before expanding to a four-person delivery team to build the API, microservices and integrations. Using Sylius, Elvi launched a working product that helped secure funding, onboarded 50 new opticians after the MVP release, and doubled the average number of lenses sold, positioning Elvi for international expansion.
