British Petroleum launches a paperless employee awards intranet with SYDCON

British Petroleum, a global energy corporation, needed to develop a custom intranet application to allow employees to recognize each other's performance with awards. They engaged vendor SYDCON to build a secure, paperless system that would integrate with their existing infrastructure and automate the managerial approval workflow.

SYDCON developed the application using ASP, CSS, and HTML, integrating it with BP's existing MSSQL database. The solution automated the entire award process, from submission and managerial approval to employee notification and custom reporting. As a result, British Petroleum now has a fully functional system that has raised employee morale by enabling peer recognition.
