A SWTCH Case Study
The customer, LivingADK, a nonprofit organization serving the Adirondacks, faced the challenge of a lack of public EV charging infrastructure in its rural communities. This gap created range anxiety for a growing number of EV-driving tourists and local residents, potentially hindering tourism revenue and local EV adoption. To address this, LivingADK worked with vendor SWTCH and its installer partner to explore installing public chargers.
The solution involved installing multiple SWTCH charging stations across several towns, funded in part by utility incentives. These pay-per-use chargers provide a new revenue stream for the towns while supporting tourism. LivingADK chose SWTCH for its affordable pricing, quality hardware, and user-friendly dashboard. The successful implementation has led to plans for installing additional SWTCH chargers in the region.
