Marriott International, a global hospitality leader with more than 4,000 properties across 18 brands, launched Vacations by Marriott to expand its product line and give guests complete vacation packages. The challenge was to offer bundled air, car and room packages that drive growth and loyalty without the time and cost of building and maintaining a complex packaging platform in-house.
Marriott partnered with Switchfly to access GDS air and rental car inventory and enable dynamic packaging, real-time availability and automatic cash-to-points conversion. The solution reduced technology costs and improved product quality while driving business results: roughly 35% year‑over‑year growth in gross sales, a 44% lift in conversion rates and about 45% growth in bookings, along with automated revenue management and enhanced cross-sell and loyalty capabilities.
