Case Study: Oxford Properties strengthens smart building visibility with Switch Automation and Microsoft Azure

A Switch Automation Case Study

Preview of the Oxford Properties Case Study

Oxford Properties scans 17 buildings with Switch Automation to improve network visibility

Oxford Properties, a major real estate portfolio manager, faced the challenge of gaining visibility into every device and system connected to its diverse building networks across North America. This lack of a consistent digital audit made it difficult to ensure network integrity and security. To address this, they partnered with vendor Switch Automation to deploy the Switch Dx³ solution.

Switch Automation implemented its Switch Dx³ tool, which was hosted on Microsoft Azure, to continuously scan and audit the controls networks across 17 of Oxford's buildings. The solution provided a detailed dashboard view of all connected devices, their firmware versions, and potential vulnerabilities. The results gave Oxford precise insight into thousands of devices per site, allowing them to monitor network health, optimize connectivity, and swiftly secure vulnerable ports to significantly reduce the risk of security breaches.
