Yellowcube - Customer Case Study

Yellowcube, a new e‑commerce logistics platform from Swiss Post, needed a full-service, scalable solution to handle rising online order volumes while ensuring fast, high‑quality picking and efficient returns for small and mid‑sized retailers. Swisslog Holding was engaged to deliver the automation and systems integration, using its Click&Pick concept built around AutoStore and SAP EWM.

Swisslog Holding implemented an AutoStore Click&Pick system (4,320 m³ footprint, 32,000 bins, 35 robots, 10 picking ports) integrated with SAP EWM and a custom ASPO operator dialog. The deployment enabled faster order fulfillment and reliable goods‑to‑person picking—supporting next‑day delivery even for late orders—achieving ~70 bin movements/hour per picking station (scalable to 240), streamlined returns processing, and a modular, easily expandable platform for future growth.
