Xenos improves DC picking by more than 50% with Swisslog Holding

Xenos, a fast-growing retailer in the Netherlands and Germany, faced the challenge of expanding its distribution center to support its growth to 400 stores. The key obstacle was integrating its Centric Locus Warehouse Management System (WMS) with Swisslog's warehouse control systems (WCS) to automate operations and achieve savings throughout its supply chain.

Swisslog implemented a Good-to-man system which included depalletizing stations and a WMS that generates stacking patterns. This automated solution resulted in a time saving of 3-4 hours per store and improved distribution center pick performance by more than 50 percent. Swisslog's systems also decreased the error percentage and provided improved ergonomics for warehouse staff, with the entire system running very reliably after a smooth start-up phase.
