Trinchero Family Estates, a multi‑brand, family‑owned wine leader, faced inefficiencies from dispersed bottling and manual warehousing across multiple Napa Valley sites and needed to centralize bottling and distribution in Lodi to support 3–4 bottling lines, faster throughput, and better inventory visibility. To meet this challenge they engaged Swisslog Holding to design an integrated automated solution, selecting Swisslog’s PowerStore robotic storage system along with ProMove conveyors and WMS integration.

Swisslog Holding implemented a four‑module PowerStore with more than 3,500 ft of ProMove conveyors and SAP‑WMS integration, delivering capacity for 72,296 pallets (~4M cases) in 190,000 sq ft, throughput of 249 pallets/hour, and an 89% compaction rate. The solution eliminated cross‑site shipping and most manual touches (18.5M cases/year flow directly into storage), reduced storage footprint to ~10% of the prior area, improved inventory accuracy to 99.998%, cut forklift traffic and damage, tightened temperature control to 58°F, and sped truck staging (beating the 30‑minute target by 14%).
