TJ Morris (trading as Home Bargains), one of the UK’s fastest-growing discount retailers, needed a new distribution facility in Amesbury to handle increased volume while maintaining low operating costs and green credentials. Swisslog Holding was appointed as general contractor to deliver the automated material handling and warehousing solutions for the site, which was designed with energy-saving technology and sustainable principles.

Swisslog Holding implemented its CaddyPick semi-automated case order-picking system as the core solution, simplifying picking, speeding up operator induction, and automating pallet and waste removal to create a clean, calm and controlled working environment. The project was handed over two weeks ahead of schedule, enabling TJ Morris to scale capacity quickly while improving efficiency and site sustainability.
