Thrive Market, a rapidly growing membership-based online retailer of natural and organic products, faced surging demand—more than 200,000 members, 20,000 new members per month, a 500% sales increase year-over-year, and SKUs rising from 2,500 to over 4,000—that outgrew its original distribution capacity. To meet faster delivery and scaling needs, Thrive Market engaged Swisslog Holding to design and implement a new high-volume distribution center with targeted automation and Warehouse Execution Software (WES).

Swisslog Holding delivered the Batesville DC featuring WES-driven conveyor control, four split-case pick modules, cart and cold-storage picking, pack-out stations, and wrist-mounted scanners, using wave and waveless processing by SKU velocity. The implementation boosted picking productivity by about 20% in automated areas, shortened Eastern U.S. ground shipment time from three days to no more than two, simplified replenishment, increased storage and item capacity, and will be replicated by Swisslog Holding for a Western U.S. facility.
