Sanritsu automates 210,000 product units with Swisslog

Sanritsu, a Japanese logistics provider, faced challenges of limited storage space and the need for greater productivity in put-away and picking activities for its client Boston Scientific. To address this, they partnered with vendor Swisslog Holding to implement the AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system.

The solution from Swisslog consisted of over 16,000 bins, 60 robots, and 10 goods-to-person workstations, all managed by Swisslog's SynQ warehouse management software. This system provided sufficient storage with lot segregation, which helped Boston Scientific substantially reduce inventory obsolescence. SynQ manages inventory by expiration date for FIFO picking and offers full traceability and data overview.
