A Swisslog Holding Case Study
Livzon Pharm, a fast-growing Chinese pharmaceutical group facing roughly 30% annual revenue growth and increasingly stringent quality and regulatory requirements, needed a new production and distribution site to ensure efficient distribution, continuous quality control and full traceability. To meet these challenges the company engaged Swisslog Holding to deliver an automated intralogistics solution for the new Livzon Industrial Park in Zhuhai.
Swisslog Holding designed and implemented a comprehensive automated logistics system centered on its proprietary warehouse management and controls software: a 23.5 m high‑bay warehouse with 15 pallet stacker cranes, 25,620 pallet locations, pallet and case conveyors, a KUKA palletizing robot, loop and linear shuttle cars, AGVs, 78 dynamic picking locations and three temperature‑controlled storage zones. The system completed pilot ramp‑up in November 2013 and passed final acceptance in April 2014, is operating with all key performance indicators meeting specifications, and enables scalable, track‑and‑trace capable operations to support Livzon Pharm’s growth and regulatory compliance.
