HAGEL GmbH, a Hamburg-based lifestyle company and leading omnichannel provider, faced capacity bottlenecks due to growth in orders, assortment, and throughput. Their manual logistics system could no longer handle the demand. To achieve a flexible expansion concept, they turned to Swisslog Holding and implemented the modular CarryPick product-to-person system.

The solution from Swisslog utilized 28 mobile robot units to transport 400 mobile shelves to workstations, guided by the Swisslog SynQ software platform. This automated system manages an average of 190,000 stored items, intelligently positioning goods based on turnover. As a result, Swisslog helped HAGEL reduce delivery time to less than 24 hours, enabling reliable next-day delivery.
