DB Schenker - Customer Case Study

DB Schenker, a global leader in transportation and third‑party logistics, needed a future‑proof intralogistics solution to support fast e‑commerce fulfillment for customers such as Lekmer.com while keeping costs and errors low and remaining flexible for changing product lines. They engaged Swisslog Holding, which proposed its Click&Pick portfolio and specifically the CarryPick goods‑to‑person solution (backed by WarehouseManager and Fleet Manager software).

Swisslog Holding implemented CarryPick with 1,500 mobile racks, 65 mobile “Carry” robots and seven centralized workstations, coordinated by Swisslog’s software for path planning, battery management and ERP integration. The system delivers 24/7 redundant operation and centralized picking/packing/replenishment, producing higher productivity than manual solutions, faster order processing, lower handling costs and easy scalability—measurable benefits that let DB Schenker expand capacity and offer the solution to additional customers and markets.
