ASKO Rogaland AS doubles SKU range and becomes 4x more efficient with Swisslog Holding

The customer, Asko Rogaland AS, is Norway's largest grocery wholesaler and distributor. They faced the challenge of ensuring an efficient flow of groceries to a vast network of stores and hospitality outlets, needing to improve their warehouse competitiveness and efficiency. They partnered with vendor Swisslog Holding for an automated warehouse solution.

Swisslog implemented a state-of-the-art automated system featuring Vectura stacker cranes, decanting robots, and automated pick stations. This solution included a fully automated decanting and consolidation process using Star Robot applications. The results were highly successful, with Asko achieving warehouse cost savings of more than 20 percent. In five years, Swisslog helped Asko double its SKU range and become four times as efficient as it was before automation.
