Asko Rogaland AS - Customer Case Study

Asko Rogaland AS, a subsidiary of ASKO NORGE AS and one of Norway’s leading grocery distributors, faced rising volume and changing supply‑chain demands that outgrew its existing warehouse capacity. To automate high‑volume, repetitive pallet handling Swisslog Holding was engaged to deliver automated intralogistics solutions, including a High Bay Warehouse, automated stacker cranes, pallet conveyors and the WarehouseManager (MFCS) and BoxControl (ACS) control systems.

Swisslog Holding implemented a space‑efficient High Bay Warehouse with three automated stacker cranes and satellite cars, vertical and inline conveyors, and 4,600 pallet buffer locations plus 318 double‑deep pick slots, automating infeed, storage, retrieval and replenishment. The solution increased throughput and material‑flow efficiency, improved pick accuracy and operator ergonomics, reduced dependence on labor and damaged goods, and cut truck movements — delivering measurable capacity and operational gains for Asko Rogaland AS.
