ASKO Midt-Norge, Norway's largest grocery wholesaler and distributor, wanted to update its distribution centers with an automated solution to maintain its market leadership. The company chose Swisslog to implement a design based on their standard PickRunner solution to achieve a competitive, sustainable, and climate-neutral material flow.

Swisslog implemented an integrated automated solution featuring a 19-meter High Bay Warehouse with two Vectura stacker cranes and a PickRunner system. This solution increased handling capacity, efficiency, and profitability while improving ergonomics and picking accuracy. It also reduced dependency on manual labor and optimized space utilization. ASKO Midt-Norge's Logistics Director praised Swisslog, noting the cooperation was excellent and that their service technicians are extremely capable.
