ASDA, one of Britain's leading retailers, faced a challenge in maximizing space utilization and improving productivity within its integrated distribution center. To handle small case lines more efficiently, ASDA partnered with vendor Swisslog Holding to implement the Swisslog AutoStore storage system.

The Swisslog AutoStore solution was installed without disrupting ongoing operations. The system allowed ASDA to manage several thousand product lines with 99.8% accuracy, doubling its picking rate and halving the picking time. Swisslog's implementation provided significant storage efficiency, maximizing space use in the distribution center and allowing for future expansion.
